Real Financial Models Built by Students
Watch how budget risk management comes alive through actual coursework
These aren't polished portfolio pieces. They're genuine student work from our 2024-2025 cohorts. Some models predicted market shifts three weeks early. Others helped family businesses avoid catastrophic cash flow errors. This is what happens when you give someone the right analytical framework and real data to work with.
How Our Program Evolved
Started as a weekend workshop in 2019. Now we're running full-semester courses with students from twelve different countries.
August 2019
First Workshop Launch
Ran a three-day intensive for eight students at a community center in Kaohsiung. We covered basic variance analysis and break-even modeling. Everyone left with a working spreadsheet and enough confidence to actually use it.
March 2021
Online Program Expansion
COVID pushed us online, which turned out to be a gift. Suddenly we had students from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan joining weekend sessions. The async format let people work at their own pace, and peer feedback got way more interesting with diverse perspectives.
November 2022
Industry Partnership Program
Local accounting firms started sending junior staff to our courses. That forced us to raise the technical difficulty and add more practical case studies. Best decision we made—students now graduate with work that impresses hiring managers.
September 2024
Advanced Risk Modeling Track
Launched specialized modules for students who wanted to go deeper into scenario planning and stress testing. These courses run for sixteen weeks and require submitting a capstone project based on real company data. Graduation rate sits around 73%, but those who finish tell us it changed how they think about financial planning.
January 2025
Regional Accreditation Recognition
Got formal recognition from Taiwan's continuing education board. That means students can now use course completion toward professional development requirements. Also opened doors for corporate training contracts with three major banks.
Student Work From Spring 2025

Multi-Scenario Budget Forecasting
Clara built this model for her family's restaurant chain during our spring cohort. It runs six different scenarios simultaneously—everything from supply chain disruptions to competitor pricing shifts. The sensitivity analysis caught a potential cash shortage two months before it would have become critical.

Automated Variance Detection System
Marcus designed this during week nine of the program. It flags variances that exceed thresholds and sends weekly reports. What impressed us most was how he weighted different expense categories based on industry benchmarks rather than using generic percentages.

Risk-Adjusted Cash Flow Planner
Fiona's capstone project for her consulting startup. She incorporated Monte Carlo simulation to stress-test assumptions under different economic conditions. The model helped her secure a line of credit by showing lenders she actually understood downside scenarios.
Who Reviews Student Work
Our mentors are working professionals who still remember learning this stuff wasn't easy. They provide feedback on projects and help students debug formulas that refuse to cooperate.

Rachel Kim
Senior Financial Analyst
Spent eleven years building financial models for tech startups before joining us in 2023. Rachel reviews capstone projects and runs monthly office hours where students can ask about real-world application challenges. She's known for pointing out when a model looks technically correct but wouldn't actually be useful in practice.

Diana Alvarez
Risk Management Consultant
Diana worked in corporate risk departments at two major banks before going independent in 2021. She teaches our advanced scenario planning module and grades final projects. Students appreciate how she explains complex concepts using straightforward examples—and how she marks up spreadsheets with specific suggestions rather than vague comments.
What Students Actually Accomplished
These numbers come from our 2024 cohorts. We track completion rates, project quality, and where people end up six months after finishing the program.
